Stephen Ministry Introductory Workshop

Want to learn to care for people who are grieving and reach out to others in a distinctively Christian way? On Saturday September 23 our church will host a Stephen Ministry Introductory Workshop from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. The half day workshop is designed both to enhance participants' caregiving skills and to help congregations explore ways to expand their caring ministry. Registration begins at 8:00 am and refreshments will be served. This event is free for our congregation but you must register by September 8th. US Army Men's Chorus

n 1956, The U.S. Army Chorus was established as the vocal counterpart of The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” and is one of the nation’s only professional men’s choruses. From its inception, The U.S. Army Chorus has established and maintained a reputation of excellence in the performance of male choral literature. Beyond the traditional military music and patriotic standards, the repertoire of the Army Chorus covers a broad spectrum which includes pop, Broadway, folk, and classical music.
Divorce Recovery Workshop
The fall session of our Divorce Recovery Workshop will be held from 7:30 - 9:00 pm beginning Wednesday, Oct. 4, and run through Nov. 15. The workshop, conducted by trained facilitators, is eight regular sessions with special sessions on finances and legal issues, plus a social evening. Topics include denial, grief, anger, loneliness, guilt, rejection, forgiveness, letting go, self-worth, and hope. No matter where you are on the timeline, either newly separated or divorced for a while, you are welcome to work on healing in a caring, non-judgmental environment. The workshop and childcare are free. Resource books are available for $12. We ask that you request childcare when you register.
