Stephen Ministers provide distinctively Christian one-on-one care to those in our congregation and community who are experiencing a life crisis. Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry: those receiving care can be sure that their identity and what is shared will remain private. Here are two videos with people talking about using a Stephen Minister:
Faith Community Nursing
Faith Community Nurses (FCNs) are licensed, registered nurses who practice wholistic health using nursing knowledge combined with spiritual care. The focus of their work is on the intentional care of the spirit. Our FCNs offer weekly blood pressure screenings on Sundays in room 211 between services.
Counselors are trained to work with clients on a variety of issues and work with individuals, couples, families and whole congregations. Click here for the Pastoral Counseling website.
Methodists equate food with love. As such, we offer meals to those who have had medical issues or bereavement.
Cards and notes are sent to let people know that the church cares and is praying for them.
Ensures that the grieving family and friends are accommodated during their difficult time.
New Parents Ministry
Provides support to new parents through cards, calls, and short visits to families with newborns.
Provides CDs of weekly worship services to those who cannot attend services.
Provides a ride to doctor's appointments.
Prayers and Squares
Hand made quilts are prayed over and delivered to those experiencing a health crisis.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
This group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the church parlor to knit or crochet shawls. Assistance is available for new hand workers.
Activities are planned and scheduled to serve the spiritual well-being of our senior adults, ages 55+.
