First Visit

We are excited that you decided to visit us today! As you browse our website, you will see our the Messiah family is committed to Serving God by Serving others.

We hope as you read through our information, you will find there is a place for you and your family at Messiah. We invite you to join us at one of our services this weekend. With our options of traditional service, non-traditional service and a service in Spanish, there is something for everyone.

What time should I arrive?

Sunday services begin at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:15 am (contemporary service) and Sunday School for all ages is available at 10 am. Adult classes offered at 9:30, 10 and 11 am.

We suggest that you plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow for parking and finding your way around. Members of our Welcoming Team are here to guide you in finding Sunday School, restrooms, and other needs (like coffee and baked goods!)

Once I arrive, where do I park?

We’ve been expecting you! From the moment you pull in at Messiah, we’re glad to have you here and we want to get to know you. Feel free to park in one of our marked visitor spaces reserved just for you (they are just past the circle on the right)! If the lot is completely full, we have overflow parking at The Traford office complex (8340 Traford Lane, Springfield, VA 22152) and there is a gate through which you can access the church.

Where is the Nursery?

Our nursery is located on the lower level in the CEP wing. Members of our Welcoming Team will be at the front entrance to direct you and your family to the Nursery and Children’s Sunday School classrooms. Nursery care is available all morning. We have vibrating pagers that we’ll give you in case of an emergency.

Where is the Sanctuary?

As you walk in the front entrance, the Sanctuary will be to your right.

What should I wear?

You should wear what makes you comfortable. At Messiah, you’ll see all sorts of attire. What’s important is that you have joined us for worship, not what you wear.
