Remember & Recommit – The History and Legacy of the Civil Rights Movement
April 8 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until April 29, 2021

Remember & Recommit is a ten-session class focusing on the major campaigns and leaders of the modern Civil Rights Movement (1954-1968). The witness and faith-based principles of the Civil Rights Movement provide guidance and hope for continuing the struggle for racial justice today. Each 90 minute session includes a large group presentation and facilitated small group conversation. Because the material covered in the class is in chronological order and builds on the previous session, participants are strongly encouraged to attend all class sessions.
WHY
Racism is a sin at the heart of our nation’s history for 400 years. It has taken many forms (individually and structurally) over the years and continues to separate and oppress people today. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to address and repent from the sin of racism in its many forms and commit to racial justice and reconciliation.
